What better way to celebrate a little boy turning ONE than with a fun-filled first birthday cake smash session! This sweet birthday boy was so much fun to photograph, and it was clear right from the start that he absolutely loved being in front of the camera! From his adorable smiles to the messy, cake-covered moments, every photo captured his happy personality and growing curiosity. And after all that cake, it was time for a post-cake bubble bath to clean up. He had an absolute blast splashing, playing, and enjoying every bubbly moment. His first birthday cake smash was full of smiles, sweet memories, and plenty of cake (and bubbles!), making it a celebration his family will treasure for years to come.
It was such a joy to welcome this beautiful family into the studio for their first newborn session with their sweet baby boy. Only several days old and he’s is already so deeply loved. It was and absolute pleasure capturing these precious memories for my lovely clients.
It’s always exciting to incorporate sentimental items that my clients bring with them. The little dragon stuffy was one of baby’s first little gifts from his Daddy and the crocheted outfit was made with love by Grandma – So adorable!

Being a photographer means I get to photograph so many beautiful little moments, but this one was especially close to my heart. I had the joy of photographing my own little great-niece for her first birthday cake smash, and I honestly couldn’t have loved it more. We went with the sweetest pink farm theme, and watching her little personality come through as she discovered her cake was so much fun! These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do — and getting to capture them for my own family makes them even more special.
There’s a full-circle kind of magic in this job.
Just a couple short years ago, I was photographing this family with their little boy — and somehow, I’m here again, only this time he’s stepping into his new role as a big brother.
And now there’s a baby girl to add to the story.
I love that I don’t just get to photograph newborns. Sometimes I get to photograph the same families through different chapters of their lives. I get to remember who they were, meet who they’re becoming, and freeze a little piece of it along the way.
Being trusted to come back and document these milestones is something I’ll never take for granted.
