Working with babies is my passion, but it wasn’t until I also became a Mother that I truly experienced the overwhelming love that a parent has for their child. This is when I really understood how important your newborn’s first photos are and how they become priceless heirlooms for years to come. A once in a lifetime opportunity to capture the very first days of your baby’s life!
As a professional photographer it brings me such joy and happiness to be able to capture every little detail of this special moment in time, your baby’s adorable little features, unique personality and even that beautiful gummy smile!
When I’m not photographing babies, I’m also supporting parents as a postpartum doula and parent educator. During our sessions I am always happy to answer any questions that you may have about your new baby, breast/bottle feeding, maternal health and recovery or toddler behaviour. My consultation services are free with every newborn session. Just bring your list of questions and ask away!
Newborn and Maternity Sessions:
Babies grow and change so fast that you can almost see it happening before your eyes! It is important to capture these precious memories that fly by so quickly, so that they may be cherished and remembered always.
Newborn sessions should be pre-booked before your baby is born to ensure availability and tentatively reserve the week of your due date. It is important to photograph newborns within the first 12 days after he or she arrives. During this time they are very sleepy and pliable and their skin is clear of any baby acne which can occur after a couple of weeks.
Maternity sessions are best booked between weeks 32 and 36 of your pregnancy.
Prior to the photo session, I like to consult with my clients either by phone, email or in person to discuss ideas and to get a feel for exactly what style of photos you are looking for.
Turn Around Time:
Knowing how excited parents are to see their baby’s photos, I never want to keep my clients waiting for their gallery! Within a few days after your photo session, you will receive a password to access a private online viewing gallery of approximately 30-50 images. Once your order has been placed, the estimated time for fully edited prints, wall art, albums and digital images is 2-4 weeks (depending on size of your order.)
